One of the most influential jazz fusion ensembles from the Balkans, the Vasil Hadžimanov Band, presents its new studio album “Keyf”.

This exceptional group of musicians has been delighting audiences around the world for many years with its unique sound and energy, and its new album once again brings us interesting musical guests, innovative arrangements, authentic sound aesthetics and, as before, creative experiments with different musical directions and rhythms.

The album “Keyf” is the band’s eighth studio album, and it contains nine songs produced by Vasil Hadžimanov, Marko Perić and Toni Kitanovski. Musical numbers such as the title “Keyf”, but also “Gypsy”, “Afghan Samba”, “Helidoro’s Recipe” and “Mente Pura” will remind all lovers of good music why the Vasil Hadžimanov Band performs their music on stages all over the world and why their music in Serbia has been declared a work of art of national importance.

Vasil Hadžimanov is a musician with a unique sensibility. As a pianist, composer, arranger and pedagogue, he is an indispensable link of the regional jazz scene and an individual who carries a part of his ancestors who, each in his own way, marked the musical spaces of the Balkans in an unbreakable series of guardians, interpreters and new interpreters of tradition. Relying on the rich experience of folklore, which, according to him, is “music that should not be ashamed of, but, on the contrary, should be supported and given more space”, Vasil Hadžimanov is certainly an author who correctly perceived the message of his predecessors and translated it, inspiring with it, into an authentic musical expression.
