On the occasion of marking 50 years of musical creativity of Grupa CD, Jugoton-Croatia Records offers an anthology edition including all the hits of the cult band titled “Vjeruj u ljubav” (Believe in Love).

This collection represents a complete retrospective of the work of the group, which left an indelible mark on the Yugoslavian music scene. During the seventies of the last century, Grupa CD released eight singles for Jugoton, and the anthology edition is a unique opportunity for all those who want to be reminded of the timeless songs “Vjeruj u ljubav” (Believe in Love), “Sad se vidi, sad se zna” (Now It Is Seen, now It Is Known), “Crvene ruže” (Red Roses), “Sretan čovjek” (Happy Man), “Lela” and “Tama” (Darkness).

The first three singles from 1972 contained a mixture of beat and pop, and the following five singles from 1973 and 1974 presented Grupa CD as a typical Yugoslavian rock band of that period.

Over the years, the keyboardist and vocalist Dragan Cvetić, the guitarists Ljubomir Sedlar, Zoran Stefanović and Slobodan Todorović, the bass guitarists Dejan Dunić, Mladen Mladenov and Aleksandar Cvetković and the drummers Jovan Mišević and Ljubomir Jerković played in the band. Their trail will remain forever, and their music is an indispensable part of the musical heritage of Yugoslavia. Just keep in mind that only very few Yugoslavian rock bands had the opportunitiy to release an album during the first half of the seventies.
