Guerilla Records Release Information

Another one in the series of remasterings of old Plastik recordings is the concert from Kerhartice, where they played the programme “Co znamená vésti koně” (What Means to Lead a Horse) on 15 March 1981. This was actually their last concert played in public, albeit for less than a hundred friends. Again we have the original tape with the recording by Robin Karl Popper and mastering by the proven Ondřej Ježek. Regarding the concert and Kerhartice itself, just a “flight through the world”, I guess this much: a two-storey house in Kerhartice, near Česká Kamenice, bought in 1978 by a group of people who originally met in the lesser town pub “U Pavlánských”.

It was a large two-storey house that could accommodate several families, and it stood alone about a kilometre from the village at the junction of local roads. The preparation of the concert was accompanied by extraordinary conspiracies, the original venue in Český ráj was revealed, so about two days before the event the choice fell on the Kerhartice house. It was played on Sunday in the early afternoon for about a hundred people who received invitations. The conspiracy worked this time, the concert took place without police attention and everyone went home safely. Revenge came soon enough, however – a few weeks later the entire house burned to the ground and was never rebuilt. At that time, no one doubted that the StB was behind it, officially the “perpetrator remained unknown”. Today the place is overgrown with trees.

Continuing the series of original paintings on the title page, this one is by Otakar Slavík: “Poslední pokus o překročení hranic II” (The Last Attempt to Cross the Border II) from 1977-1979.

This edition comes with an English translation.
