Legendary metal album by Citron as special LP reissue

The year 1985 was rich in various important events in Czechoslovakia and especially in Prague. The national hockey team became world champions, the last Spartakiada took place at Strahov and not far from here, in the Mozarteum studio, the Ostrava band Citron recorded their second full-length album and their first Czech-sung album “Plni energie” (Full of Energy).

This album was exceptional for several reasons. It was the first ever official heavy metal album in Czechoslovakia, which sold hundreds of thousands of copies after its release in June 1986. Along with the Czech version, an English version, “Full of Energy”, was recorded and released even in Western Europe. In 1986 Citron was undoubtedly our favourite hard & heavy band. In the “Zlatý slavík” (Golden Nightingale) poll it took the second place right behind the Slovakian band Elan and two years later it even won. Radim Pařízek (drummer and leader of the band), Stanislav Hranický (solo vocals), Jaroslav Bartoň and Jindřich Kvita (guitars, vocals) and Václav Vlasák (bass guitar, vocals), this is Citron in one of the most classic line-ups.

Now a vinyl reissue of this legendary album is being released as a 180 gram LP.
