The legendary selection album by Aleš Brichta for the first time on vinyl.

Aleš Brichta drew attention to himself for the first time outside his home band Arakain in the “Zemětřesení” (Earthquake) project in 1993. Since then, his star has been rising sharply. By performing in the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”, he demonstrated the versatility of his talent, and with his first album “Růže pro Algernon” (Rose for Algernon) from 1994, he attracted attention as a distinctive and original singer who was absent from the domestic music scene. Those who were expecting only a rock blast from the leader of the metal band Arakain were surprised to find that Brichta, not only as a singer but also as an author, was leaning more towards the genre of rock songwriting.

The hit “Barák na vodstřel” (Barrack on the Water Shot) opened the gate for him to radio broadcasting, and in the following years more than a dozen of Brichta’s songs scored in the charts. In the 90s, Aleš Brichta’s discography accumulated not only hits from his solo albums, but also recordings that attracted great acclaim, even though they were created only for a certain occasion like Nečám (I’m not Waiting) or C’est la vie.

The most successful hits were included together with several novelties on the compilation named after Aleš Brichta’s most successful song “Dívka s perlami ve vlasech” (Omega’s Girl with Pearls in Her Hair), which we still hear on the radio.

Now this compilation has been released for the first time on vinyl as a 2LP, in a limited numbered edition of 999 copies, edited and supplemented with additional hits, and remastered at Sono Doupě Records. Together with the title song, a total of twenty greatest hits such as Nechte vlajky vlát (Let the Flags Fly), Barak na vodstřel (Barrack on the Water Shot), Výlet do bájí (A Trip to the Fables), Slečna Závist (Miss Envy) and American Bull form the new version of the “Dívka s perlami ve vlasech – Best of Ales Brichta” compilation.
