Croatia Records Release Information

The long-announced album “Live in Belgrade” by the legendary Divlje Jagode (Wild Strawberries) has finally been released.

As the set list for that concert was made together with “Jagodari” (fans of the band), it was expected that most of the 30 tracks would be hits such as “Jedina moja” (My only One), “Marija” (Maria), “Let na drugi svijet” (Flight to Another World), “Autostop” (Hitchhiking), “Kap po kap” (Drop by Drop), “Zauvijek tvoj” (Forever Yours), “Mojoj ljubavi” (To My Love), “Motori” (Motorbikes), “Šejla” (Sheila) and others. The former singer of Bijelo Dugme and Divlje Jagode, Mladen “Tifa” Vojicic, and the singer of Osvajaci, Zvonko “Cipi” Pantovic, were guests at the historic concert.

Last year, Divlje Jagode celebrated their 45th anniversary with a series of celebratory concerts. “Live in Belgrade”, held on 8 October 2022 in Belgrade’s MTS hall was one of the concerts on that tour. In cooperation with Croatia Records, this spectacle has been immortalized with double CD, double LP and Blu-Ray editions.

The current line-up of Divlje Jagode consists of Sead “Zele” Lipovaca as band leader, Damjan Deuric, Ispan Andraš, Livio Berak, Ante “Toni” Jankovic and Emil Kranjcic with Jovana Protic and Teodora Vlahovic as backing vocals.

Sead “Zele” Lipovaca: ““Live in Belgrade” is exactly what we have been waiting for all these years. I think that now even the last musical layman will be completely clear that Divlje Jagode belongs equally to the Balkans as well as to the West. At the “Live in Belgrade” concert, we gave the audience, in the true sense of the term, literally the last atom of strength, we invested everything we knew and could. The audience in turn, not sparing a single moment, proved that strawberries are in their hearts.”

The mix and the master for the album wer done by Zoran Švigir. The design is the work of the cult graphic designer and artist Igor Kelcec, who has been with Divlje Jagode for decades, Although there are dozens of live recordings of their concerts on YouTube, this is the first official release of a Divlje Jagode concert on audio.
