Can punks make a record of children’s songs? The answer to this question was brought by Už Jsme Doma on their album “Pět rán do čepice”. The record was made in cooperation with the theatre troupe Buchty a Loutky and features 13 songs. The songs are thematically based on the successful evening cartoon “Rat Pack” and develop the original evening cartoon stories.

The traditional expression and energy of Už Jsme Doma is blended with a child’s view of the world on the album. The songs are both hilarious and educational, but certainly not silly (as children’s music sometimes is). This recording will entertain not only children, but also their parents. Thanks to PHR Records, the recording is now available on vinyl. The monstrous work with a seven millimeter thick spine includes a massive appendix. These are booklets with a total of 80 pages containing not only the lyrics in Czech, English, Polish, French and Norwegian, but also the sheet music, each with its own unique graphic design.
