Following the earlier release of this album on CD with bonus tracks, the basic vinyl version is now available. Bohemia was a true Czech supergroup. Jan Kubík (ex-Flamengo), Lešek Semelka (ex-Blue Effect), Michal Pavlícek (ex-Expanze), Vladimír “ Guma” Kulhánek (ex-Flamengo), Jan Hála and Pavel Trnavský (ex-Expanze) were among the compositional, vocal and instrumental figures who helped to save the Czech bigbeat from the Bolsheviks.

They succeeded brilliantly: their rockjazz fusion music, accompanied by a set of five almost surreal poems/lyrics by Pavel Vrba, has survived the 46 years since its original release in a very vital state. Kubík’s departure abroad contributed to the subsequent non-polishing of the LP, which from today’s perspective is an excellent testimony to the times.

Joska Skalník’s cover has now been carefully redesigned, the sound from the tape has been given the technological capabilities of 2024, and Ondrej Konrád’s original sleevenote and the complete lyrics are included. Although unadorned with round anniversaries, this reissue represents another welcome entry in the vinyl reminiscence of the second half of the 1970s. Times were extremely hard for rock in our country then, with only occasional grains of hope: this one, however, built a castle out of sand.
